BoyleSports Review
BoyleSports was established in 1989 by John Boyle and are Ireland’s largest and most successful independent bookmaker. They started life purely as a sports betting operation and whilst that remains the core of their business, fast-paced expansion has seen them diversify into the online casino, poker and bingo markets, whilst they also offer games, lotteries and skill games on their site.
They are registered and licensed on the Isle of Man (a short boat journey from the Emerald Isle itself) for their sports operation, with the casino falling under the jurisdiction of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, along with the poker room and bingo suite.
Headquarters remain in sunny Dundalk, Ireland, though, and the company employs around 900 people across the operation, which now includes offices in mainland Europe. The site is available in German and Swedish, as well as English, and allows accounts to be operated in six different currencies, including USD, Euros and British Pounds.
They are increasingly a globally focussed company and whilst there is still a strong UK/Irish leaning to the sports betting, there is also excellent coverage of sports as diverse (geographically) as Aussie rules, American football and handball.
With customer service available 24/7 by a good range of methods – including live chat – and never a wait to speak to their friendly operators, all in all Boyles are undoubtedly a strong operation with few weaknesses. The fact that they compete in the UK/Irish market against the giants of the industry means that they simply have to be on top of their game to stand a chance, and that they certainly are.
They have a good mobile app and site, available to Apple and Android users, and have something that can’t just be developed or built overnight – a strong reputation for honesty and trustworthiness. In 2009 they won the Best National Bookmaker Award and have gone from strength to strength so why not give them a try and see if you have the luck of the Irish?
